CLINTON TERMINAL RAILROAD

The Clinton Terminal Railroad (CTR) is a switching railroad operating three and a half miles of track in Clinton, North Carolina. The railroad only has a few clients and is primarily used for car storage. In the past, the CTR utilized Southern Caboose No. X337 as a shoving platform. The caboose is now on semi-display in Clinton, NC.

Regional Rail, LLC acquired the Clinton Terminal Railroad and merged it into Carolina Coastal Railway on August 2023. CLNA will is now the new owner and operator of the Clinton Terminal assets and operates the line as its Clinton Branch. The new operation does not physically connect to the rest of the Carolina Coastal Railway.

The CTR interchanges with CSX at Clinton.
