The History of Rail in Hawaiʻi | Home is Here
The Hawaiian Railway Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Hawaiʻi’s railroad history. Based in ʻEwa, Central Oʻahu, the society restores vintage locomotives and runs the only operating historic railway in Hawaiʻi. “This is kind of what we do,” says Hawaiian Railway Society Historian Jeff Livingston.
