OGEECHEE RAILWAY

The Ogeechee Railway (ORC) began on January 21, 1989 in Sylvania, Georgia and operated 21.1 miles (33.9 km) of former Central of Georgia tracks between Sylvania and Ardmore, GA. The Ogeechee connected with the Norfolk Southern Railway. Original ownership changed in 2004 and 2008.

Original power on the line was two GMD SW8s, former CP 6705 and 6707 acquired by ISTRA Corporation in April of 1989.
